Beside the Euphrates are we
my gilt sarcophagus, and me
bedecked in Lapis Lazuli
millenia pass tediously
"Great Royal Wife", bereft of groom
unspeaking in this silent tomb
await a time when we presume
a caller to our 'living room'
"Bride of God" will greet his gaze
an epithet bestowed those days
when I, resplendent in Ra's rays
reigned with my brother Rameses
"Queen of all Lands" no more are we
A treasure trove our destiny
O ageless river comfort me -
Whisper of Lapis Lazuli

I really liked this a lot. You wrote it beautifully and it flows really well. The rhyming feels natural and is an easy read. The images are elegant and regal, bringing to mind the ancient days of history from a Queen's deathbed perspective.
Nicely done!

It flows beautifully, your wording and the way you capture the very essence of a color embraces us all and allows us along your journey. This was wonderfully done and it is nice to see you back, I hope your vacation was great.

Oh my god! This is my favorite of yours ever! I love Eygpt! I love it love it love it. It's my favorite period in time and everything. I love this so much, even with the six words I have to go look up.
