Accept You

Dear God,
I am not worthy of Your givings. You gave me everything. And all I have done is forget You. I feel as if I have forsaken You and forgotten who You are. I have not been a loyal and humble servant of God. Who am I? I want to follow You and go after your heart. Yet at the same time my mind is giving into peer presure and not take you in as my Lord and Savior. Many times I have questioned your life and wondered how I got here. But my answer always comes back to You. There is no other explanation. I am so sorry that I have not lived my life for You. Please I ask for forgiveness. I ask again for You to be Lord of my life and help me through the thick and thin. Amen.

Congrats on your bronze! Should it be 'I have questioned 'my' life'?

I've prayed many similar prayers and trust me GOD hears each and every one! He knows your heart and hears your cry for help. Trust in him and he will always be by your side through it all. Good Luck and GOD Bless you always!

He hears yours cries and He knows your heart. Oft times we don't turn are backs on Him, but we leave Him behind. It is easy to give into peer pressure, for the flesh is weak. We need to pray always, for His strength and to walk in the Spirit. This is a beautiful cry to the Lord, and I join you in prayer. Thank you for sharing this in the contest.

One of my favorite prayers of all time was taught to my by my last pastor. It is easy to remember and fits all occasions, yours reminds me of it, the honesty of your heart and words shine through. The poem my pastor taught me goes something like this...well, it goes EXACTLY like this: "Oh God, Help!" Lovely prayer, yours is. May He grant it speedily. Blessings and best wishes, ~richard
