My Stalker

You're late she said
when I altered
my routine
and I said
late for what?

She bared her teeth
in a fixed grin
and the next thing I knew
she had seduced my son
and ravished my wife.

She killed my dog
and thirty chickens
then burned down
my hog house.

Grandpa used to say
never laugh at the Devil
but what he meant was
never be smart-ass
to anybody who has
no sense of humour.

Author notes

This is an exagerated outcome of a real situation, a sort of logical absurdity.  I wrote it as an antidote to annoyance.

I have almost the same saying: Do not play with the devil; the devil does not play.
