Daddy won't you please come home
Mommy and I are waiting
We're sitting up by the fire
But still no sign of you
We tucked my younger sisters
Into bed already
Now it's just us waiting
For you to come home again
You've been gone for so long now
It's been years since we last met
But you said you were on your way
So now we sit and wait
We know you will walk through
That door here sometime soon
You will have survived the horrid war
And come back home again
Daddy won't you please come home

J'aime. You are sitting here so I don't really have to comment that much

So very touching A family longing to the man in their lives. It again as so many times shows the cruel side of war. A war that only knows losers and never winners. The biggest losers are them who stay behind of the onces that are missing or died. I hope and pray that he one day soon will return. And that there is just a silly reason that he could come home right away. Thank you so very much for this beautiful entry
