Blackbird of Paradise

My lovely bird of paradise
Dressed in all this black
I look through and you open
Feelings we share finally free
Not fit to show your beauty
Love no longer only a dream

You call out, and I listen
You in pain, I come to your aid
Just as quick your memories fade
Poison to my mind, unable to focus
You shine upon me, even through hatred
You I want, You I will never have

Oh,my blackbird of paradise
I ask that you forgive me
All I have done,and said
All the pain I've created
Blackbird of Paradise,please
That's all I ask of you
