Save The Last Dance

Standing tall and strong
He was my hero
I place my small hands in his
feeling nothing but warmth and care
I smiled up at him
Looking into my daddys eyes

My little feet covering his shoes
As he spun me till I slept
His tears wiping my pain
As I looked into his eyes
Dancing with my daddy again

He could always do anything
Because he was so brave
Could always make me laugh
When I felt sad
Everything was different
When I could dance with my dad

I loved the way he held me
And made me feel so big
He made up all my happiness
When he turned on the music
and I'd dance with daddy again

Only now in my dreams
can I feel his love
If only I could go back
And save our last dance
