A carpet of tears, the starry sky
The silver moon gently floats by
Glimmering, glowing through the night
The clouds fly swiftly out of sight
But despite the beauty all around
The sparkling dew upon the ground
The sheet of mist that's always here
The eerie absence of your fear
Reflections in the midnight pool
A mirror for the frightened fool
A bit of wind, a touch of cold
Other feelings I will never hold
Though piece by piece, it passes by
When time has stopped to take a sigh
And in that moment, the shadow grew
I whip around, and I see you
I ask: "Who are you, why are you here?"
Intensly staring back, deepening my fear
You bare your teeth, your look seeming vile
Then your lips upturn, resembling a smile
You slowly approach, sit by my side
Gently hold my hand in yours, feeling tongue-tied
Whispering in my ear, sweet nothings of new
Words soft as petals in the morning dew
His face got closer, and closer still
Cold breath on my neck, waiting for the kill
His arms surround me like a soft embrace
He then brings his head back, and looks me in the face
His demeanor was allluring, secretive and true
Like soft light shining, the essence of hue
All in this moment, it feels like forever
Diminishing thoughts of him, I think never
The silver moon gently floats by
Glimmering, glowing through the night
The clouds fly swiftly out of sight
But despite the beauty all around
The sparkling dew upon the ground
The sheet of mist that's always here
The eerie absence of your fear
Reflections in the midnight pool
A mirror for the frightened fool
A bit of wind, a touch of cold
Other feelings I will never hold
Though piece by piece, it passes by
When time has stopped to take a sigh
And in that moment, the shadow grew
I whip around, and I see you
I ask: "Who are you, why are you here?"
Intensly staring back, deepening my fear
You bare your teeth, your look seeming vile
Then your lips upturn, resembling a smile
You slowly approach, sit by my side
