Caught on the edge of her vision
a bright object gleams,in the silence she can hear herself think
about what it might be,
an object in the mists of a light rain and fog,
wondering what could exist in such a place,
with no sun offering the pleasure of growth
to even the tiniest bulb…
Tiring of the suspense
and the slow stretch of eternity
her ancient emotions are rekindled
as she surfs on the dangerous shoals
of the sea of her existence
in pursuit of this enigma that ruffles the surrounding landscape…
Her shrouded thoughts probe the untouched darkness,
she wonders if it is not just a search for inner perfection;
or perhaps the healing of a destructive love
and the fading of the blinding light of self-loathing pain that follows,
or, like lighting a torch in a gas-filled dungeon,
the grand vision comes too late…
The music of heaven was everywhere for her then-
woven into the fabric of all that existed;
now the years weigh heavily,
coloring each footstep
with myths, time, and lost loves;
she searches, solitary, and in secrecy…
So we bid her goodnight
as she chases her visionsvisions of ages past,
and whether they were trite or magnificent,
we can only feel her efforts.

Deeply spiritual and mystical
I feel the intense compassion in this write, pouring from a sensitive yet powerful soul. How wondrous to experience poetry spun from inspiration and souls touching. Well done, Wbiro!

Ps I may perhaps "burrow" your picture for a future write. Let's see what the nine Daughters of Zeus have in stall. X -

Most gracious work!
A godly watch-over someone with a few moments to live perhaps, It is truly amazing, the way this visual of something or other, protector or taker, would ably bring something fantastic from the visual profess and feed it to us as the inevitable. Inevitable, meaning to take it one way or the other, (our choice,) to see if either protector or taker shall succeed. "We can only feel for her efforts." In my eyes, the grasp of one enormous try on succeeding to live! Hop eI got it right! -
Yah? This is culled from my commentary? If so, I'm flattered...I think you've managed to weave it all together in an entirely new form.
Nice photo of 'whatsherface' -- and the image works well with the piece.
Must be that Capricorn thing....grin.

of the seas of her existence

I see different things too, this poem is meloncholy but very touching.
I liked the imagery in its own random slides.
Good job. -
Very mystical. Once again, you weave words in such an artful and inspiring manner. YOu really portray how it must feel to be immortal, the great weight upon you, the burdens and lonliness. Great background, and very thought-provoking.

Crafted well.
I agree that you can read this and see many different visions or interpetations as well. So this is beautifully crafted and works so well with the graphic. -
Enchanting words. I like it. It's almost sad but speaks of a slight hope that builds within the person. Interesting Style.

This is one of those "for everyone" pieces. I have read this all the way through three times now and each time I have envisioned a different set of circumstances where this applies. I believe that anytime a writer accomplishes that, it's a pretty amazing feat. I like this one a lot Wayne. This is one of my faves now and in my ever so umble opinion, one of your better pieces.
