Colossians 3:1-17 (Rules For Holy Living)

Missing image

You have been raised with Jesus Christ
now set your heart and mind on things up above
set your mind and heart off of earthly things
Christ sits to the right of God's sweet love.

You have died and your life is with Christ in God
when Christ appears you will appear in glory too
put to death what belongs to your earthly natures
sexual immorality, impurities and greed in you.

Because of these the wrath of God is coming
You walked in these ways in the life you did live
you must rid yourself of anger and malice
filthy language from your lips  God will forgive.

A new image is in the knowledge of the Creator
losing the old self you found one that is new
do not lie to one another for it is sinful
Christ is all and in all with your life that is new.

You are God's chosen people so dearly loved
clothe yourself with compassion and humility
have gentleness and patience and forgiveness
always forgive as the Lord forgave you and me.

Put in love which will bind in perfect unity
let the peace of Christ rule your heart each day
let the word of Christ dwell in you ever so richly
be thankful as you teach one another God's way

Sing to God Psalms and hymns and worship
have gratitude in your heart  for God above
say and do everything in the name of Jesus
Give thanks to God through Jesus Christ's love.

Your heart pours out words as sweet nay sweeter than sugar and wish all fellow poets read this and cleanse themselves and then by word of mouth create a better place to live in
