The Fruit That is You

soft, breakable skin
that hides what's inside
holding everything within
but constantly failing

supported by a sensitive interior
ironic, but true
yet it protects the important inferior
parts that make you

it holds in your every thought
your heart and soul
because you know you ought
to keep the fruit that is you under control
