You're happy like you should be

You came into my life for such a short time.
I never got meet you
Face to face
But I heard talk of your name
And where you were from
It was New York
That's what everyone called you
But did you know
That two months from moving here
You would leave us quickly
I was so scared when I heard the news
"Brandon passed away"
It couldn't be true
I go to school two days later
I see kids walking around the halls
Some had shirts on that read "I love NY"
Others had signs hanging on their lockers
And all had tears
Its so sad to see such a young person go
But i'm sure that you are happy now
You're smiling down on us
You're an angel now
You're happy like you should be

Author notes

I've heard, and read for that matter, a lot about this bradon kid, although i'm not really sure what happend it is a sad situation though and i hope you're doing alright with the loss...this doesn't seem like much of a poem to me, but rather a story or something written in reverence to his life. I like the title though, even if it didn't pertain to this subject it's a nice line...keep writting babe, i miss you - call me some time...
