Grandmas

In youth, a grandma holds a special place
Unheld, somehow, by any greater soul.
With age and wisdom, patience, love and grace
She drops all wordly things to fill that role.

To parents, grandmas break all of the rules
That they had set when they were parents too,
As if they know a secret, playing fools,
When, honestly, they relish what they do.

It must be that a grandma, looking back,
Discovers that the only things we need,
The only things that we should never lack,
Are love.  And love.  And love.  Infinity.
