All that is certain in Life is Death and Taxes.
But how can this be true...
All religions say there is life after death.
So what is the point of death when there is life after it,
And before it?
Death is just a point in your life...
When they stop giving you taxes!

Lol, in a way your piece seems ironic. I enjoyed it, and I must say that the shortness or abrupt ending of your piece actually adds to it instead of detracting from it. Very humorous and thought provoking.

Dream on! If there is an afterlife they will have taxes in it.

great for humour! i dont know about the line breakage or something but it seems more like a philisophical statement at times then poetry... good luck in the contest!

Hilarious poem...it's very refreshing to read a humourous piece after a bunch of poems about love and pain. Awesome job! THank you for putting a smile on my face. Good luck.

a different way of looking at death,,besides being out of pain, which is what usually people say and relate to, now we can say, 'well one more tax bill and their all done...

excellent
If the govt. could tax you after death,(besides the lovely death tax) then I'm sure they would!
