for your life.
Three long weeks we sought
to be your savior.
But you were beyond
our power.
You were too far gone
to be saved.
The person you once were
Was already gone.
The person we wanted to cure
Had already died.
We are all deeply hurt
By what was done.
Our souls are in a desert
Asking "why this?"
Still we know in our hearts
This was not you,
Who chose this life to depart
It was someone else.
The man we loved so deep
Had left us
Long before eternal sleep
Laid you to rest.

Who helped so many.

"Good-bye, dear friend"

A friend of mine was very depressed. We, his friends, tried very hard to get him help and to support him, but it wasn't enough. He succeeded in committing suicide in my house after being released from the psychiatric ward of the hospital.

This is such a sweet piece and yet really sad !! I am truely sorry for you lose !! i liked the ending of this poem , i thought that it was really nice and a perfect finish to a truely sweet and wonderful trubute to a lost friend !! Really nice work and best wishes

I'm so sorry to hear this sad news.
One of my long-time friends just committed suicide. I only found out this past Saturday. It was devastating. I'm so sorry you had to go through this.

I'm so sorry, melphleg...I won't say I know how you feel...but my sister committed suicide, so I have an idea...Actually, I'm still dealing with it, with my brother...there's more of this tragic history in my background, as well...Please know this; he is no longer in pain...he is in Heaven...you will see him again one day...he only went Home ahead of you...There was nothing more you could have done...you can sit on someone 24/7; if they're intent on self~destruction, they'll do it when you blink...I've always believed that Life is beautiful; it's survival that's brutal...I Hope healing comes quickly to your Heart, melphleg...it's a very sad & painful thing to have to deal with...I'll say a prayer...for you both...
