The sky holds my companions
My family
My soul
In its eternal folds lie my brethren
The Sun is my bold brother
My stalwart Father
Or my fiery love
Wrapping me in his warm embrace
I find my security there
The Moon is my loving Mother
My compassionate sister
Or my sensible friend
Gracing the world with a silver lining
I find tranquility in her arms
The Stars are their children
My cousins
My kindred
Instilling faith in what lies beyond our reach
I see hope in their glowing smiles
The sky holds within it my family
My Faith
In its depths I place my heart
Author notes
This is a quick stab at my personal faith.... take what you will from it.
I'm an odd one when it comes to beliefs...

This is absolutely beautiful!! The flow, the imagery, the word usage, the soaring emotion displayed and evoked--everything about it is magical and perfect! Very uplifting. Once again, a great work by you! I would never have known this was a contest write. It's so expressive it doesn't have that forced feel most poems have on this site when the author is writing on command. I really enjoyed this! Sheryl

Very interesting
I like this as well it gives a break from poetry that sometimes can be dark. This was really interesting to read. -
