What is this thing I see?
This thing with George Washington staring back at me?
This little object which controls the world
This little substance in which ideas are swirled

This small paper full of green
This little item from which springs violence and much obscene
This puny article within the minds of all
This small paper about which nations brawl

This minuscule object embodied in the human brain
This distinguished item which tempted Cain
This horrible object which drives men ill
This tiny little dollar bill

Author notes

I just wrote this very fast after I became upset at the greed of people.  It's a very simple poem, and it probably isn't one of my best, but here it is.

    Valid points

    Well I would have to say you made some pretty valid points on this one. Only the dollar was not invented when Cain was around but he missed the point so that makes a good point. Interesting piece here.
