Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
John’s heart sings to You,
songs in the dark night,
In those long and lonely hours,
when the pain so overwhelms.
So Lord come,
breathe upon him now,
let him know You are near
holding him close to You.
Lift his eyes to see,
the Glory of Your Love,
the Splendor of Your Grace
and the Mercy of Your Heart
beating out Your Love for him.
For it is in Christ that he lives;
It is in Him he has his being.
It’s His love that surrounds,
wraps around
John’s soul this very day.
We honor You,
oh Lord,
giving You our praise,
for each and ev’ry day
of John’s precious life with us.
