Echoes of Placidity

Shadows cast beneath the willow
A mellow shade to lull the heat
The fragile fountain rests in the grass
An oriole hums its dainty tweet

Peddles of the forsythias
Drift into my open palm
I stare into the fading sun
Intensely gold, yet fitly calm

Inner peace echoes placidly
As lilacs twirl to bursts of wind
Serenity has found its match
Unveiled amidst my sunlit grin

Author notes

In this poem, I've written about a garden scene in early Spring.  The forsythias depict a setting of about March or so, when they are most present.
