You have been there for me for sixteen years,
You have showed me wrong from right,
Because of you my crying became laughter,
My frowns had became smiles,
You got rid of the boogieman,
And the monster under my bed,
You've held me tight during thunderstorms,
You always tucked me in and said "I love you, and goodnight,"
Waking up everyday, there you were making breakfast just for me,
My very first day of school,
You cried while I was getting onto the bus,
I didn't understand,
When I arrived home,
You asked me how my day had went,
I told you all the neat things I had done,
You smiled and gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek and said "I missed you"
Years pass,
Teenage years came,
"I hate yous" were said but never true,
We would fight all the time,
Neither of us had gotten along,
Your husband had treated me with no respect,
He only found it easy to communicate with me as long as he had something to yell at me about,
And after his last scream,
We both fought one another one on one,
With-in that night I left,
Never wanting to see the two of you again,
But things have changed,
I'm still a mama's boy,
Talking to you everyday,
And glad to have you as my mother,
Because you have always been there for me,
And you have showed me a mothers true love for her child.

a fitting tribute to your mom, who always made sure your clothes fittedyou, and gave you so many loving tributes with her busy hands and quick smile and lovingly prepared meals and all the other things she did...Artis

this is so sweet honestly i never would have this since my mother abused me all my life but its sweet and something i only wish i had

Very emotional. Some type of love I'd NEVER have for anyone in my family. That is off the subject but much respect to actually still pull through for them even though hardships passed. Much respect for each caring for the other in your family too. Something hard to come by these days what with all the mothers abusing and killing their babys over a simple "waaa" and such. If this poem did really happen to you I hope your really at peace with them and everything. Keep it up!
