Draining Beauty

Feasting on roses
With barbed-wire thorns
Gums bleeding bad
So speech is not possible
Draining the rose of it's color
Draining the beauty
To supply the red of blood

I like this. To me I read my life...seduced by what is harmful to us but so tantalizing...and then wanting to speak out but vilified when doing so.
