God says do not worry about your life
nor what you drink nor what you eat
He says not to worry about your body
nor worry if you have shoes on your feet.
Life is much more important then food
the body is more important then clothes
birds do not reap and store in barns
they eat because God loves them so.
The Heavenly father will provide all
worrying will never add time to your life
God will provide for the birds and you
so do not worry, give God all your strife.
See the beauty that God gave the lilies
they do not labor and spin as you do
even King Solomon was not dressed
in splendor, so then why should you.
God dressed the lilies in the fields
just to die and be tossed in the fire
so would he not cloth you much more
and provide when your needs are dire.
So do not worry and do not fret
do not say what shall I drink or eat
do not keep saying what will I wear
your pagan ways will lead to defeat.
God knows you all need these things
and he will give you what you need
seek His Kingdom and righteousness
then God will make sure you succeed.
Do not worry about your tomorrow
it shall worry about itself, you will see
each day has it's very own troubles
don't worry He provides for you and me.

awwww
Very nice Sandy, I also enjoy setting Bible stories to verse and things I learned to verse. Yes it is so silly to worry about anything for at its core worrying is believing that God does not exist. He does exist and all things exist by his word and power!
I have learned to not even fear death for death is my friend taking me to see the Lord whom I long to see. If I dont worry about death, the I have little else to worry about I suppose.
God bless you Sandy, Mark

Well, my dear, I would say that you have learned your lesson well! This is a very well written poem that does a great job of describing what that verse is all about. Good work!! Now, as to some of your comments, why is it that some people will never learn that God has a Perfect will and a Permissive will? Just because He permits somethings to happen, which are brought about by sin, does NOT mean that He causes them. If God were to stop everything bad from happening then He would have to stop us from sinning. Free will, not puppets, so yes, we bring things on ourselves and should not blame God. Take care and God Bless, Penny

Sandy..this is purely beautiful and full of wonderful wisdom which God Himself has instilled upon you. I have to finish my study and get it posted today. I see why Charles has helped you grow so much he gives us so much spiritual food on which to chew...and then consume...creating a burning hunger for more of God's word.
Keep up the wonderful work...it is clearly coming from the bottom of your heart.

My dear friend, as a professing Christian, and you say you are, I have some advice I would like to give to you. When it comes to questioning God like that, you should stop and question your faith. How strong is your faith? What are you lacking in? Where is your heart at at this point? You say you have faith in Christ, but you are having your doubts about God? That is a big problem. I want to share a few scriptures with you my friend.
First...
John Ch. 8 12-19 "When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. The Pharisees challenged him, Here you are, appearing as your own witness; your testimony is not valid. Jesus answered, Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going. You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one. But if I do judge, my decisions are right, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me. In your own Law it is written that the testimony of two men is valid. I am one who testifies for myself, my other witness is the Father who sent me. Then they asked him, where is yoru father? You do not know me or my Father, Jesus replied. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.
In that short passage, the Pharisees didn't believe Jesus was who He said He was. They tried to challenge Him, and that is when Jesus let them know they know Him not or His father. And if they knew who Jesus was, they would know who the father was. Because God sent Jesus into this world to save the people from their sins. So we can't believe in just one. You can't have your doubts. God is not the one who roams this earth seeking whom he may devour, it is Satan. Satan is the one that tempts people and tempts them to do evil. And that is just what happens. And when that happens, people can try all they want and blame it on God, but we are the guilty verdicts. We are the sinners, not God. We are the ones that choose to do evil. I am sure that you sin everyday, just like I do. So in all reality, we don't even deserve God's love. We are so unworthy of it all. But because He is so compassionate, He still loves us. Satan hates us all and only longs for us to die and burn in the fiery pits with him. And I want to share one more short passage with you from John...
John 10: 25- "Jesus answered, "I did tell you, but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my Father's name speak for me, but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. I AND THE FATHER ARE ONE."
This was a passage about where the Jews didn't believe Jesus was the son of God and thought he was blashemer and were soon to stone Him. But Jesus knew the scriptures and quoted again in verse 38 "But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father."
For God doesn't cause all the bad things to happen, He doesn't enjoy watching His children suffer. In John 11:35, "Jesus Wept" shows us that Christ weeps with us. He hates seeing His children suffer. "Suffer the little children to come unto me" When we suffer, God wants us to come to Him so that in turn, we can become closer to Him. In love and unity, God will support us and protect us. Don't be one to blame God, if anything, blame yourself. We are the sinners. Not Him. God sent Jesus into this world to be the bridge that filled in the gap between man and God. And now, there is only one bridge, one mediator, and one way into Heaven, and that is through Jesus Christ. My friend, I do hope that this has helped you out some and that it opens your eyes a little more. Read Matthew Ch. 7, don't judge those that do sin and commit evil, for judgement will come from God almighty, not us. We are just to love and support one another
Take care my friend and have a blessed day!!
God Bless You!!

Hi Sandy I can answer that first persons questions.....GOD gave his only begotten son to live and die for our sins....It is written in the old testiment as well as the new.
Secondly....With the child molesters, GOD will handle them in his own way trust me GOD is not going to let them go scott free unless they give themselves up to the Lord. Our GOD is not mean, he is stern, strict....he has to be, for if he wasnt then this world and our lives would be a mess. The devil tries to but in and ruin things, but, with GOD on our side better things are around the bend. GOD also said he is not for this world Satan is. He gave Satan to try to prove to him that a true Believer will not follow in his wicked ways. I go to church with someone who has done wrong in the past....Through the blood of Christ, she is now walking in the light. We have the option to prove our rightousness, as to where the nonbelievers don't get that chance. Our faith is what keeps us alive and moving. I hope this explains things GOD'S BLESSING AND GRACE UP ON YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.....Laura

Maybe this will answer your question of why bad people are not always punished for what they do.
We as humans often ask "Why does God cause pain and suffering?'" "Why does God allow pain and suffering?" "Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?" I read an article in the latest Catholic Spirit that had an interview with Bishop Aymond regarding the question of why God would allow such things to happen to us, His children. The interview was in response to a question regarding the recent tsunami and the devistation it caused. Here is my summation of the bishops reply:
Sometimes it is not God, but it is another human being excersing their own free will that causes these things to happen to another, a drunk driver running over someone for instance. Other times it is nature taking its course. Sure God created the earth and all of nature, but he also created evolution. The changes in the earth that created the tsunami were a product of evolution. Many of the diseases and illnesses that we as humans face are products of evolution. We do not live in a perfect world and until we rise from the grave to join our Father in heaven we will not live in a perfect world. Bad things do happen to good people, and we all suffer in some way at some time in our life while we are living our human experience. These things are in our lives, not to make us question our Father, but to draw us closer to him. Our God is a jealous God, he wants to spend as much time with us as possible, and sometimes it takes what we may consider drastic measures to bring us closer to him.
I hope this helps you. God Bless you and take care. Have a great day Sandy

great
I like this poem a lot. I kinda wrote one just like this but didn't refer it to the Bible. People worry so much and if they just trusted their life in God's hands they wouldn't have to worry anymore. God is wonderful! Thanks for writing this... you did a great job. God Bless~ Katie -
Thank you for taking the time to read and leave a nice comment on my poem. I am a new Christian, only was saved last July 16th. I am still learning, there is so much for me to earn. Sometimes it overwhelms me. But I know in my heart how much I love Jesus Christ and I do believe in God. I feel like you about all these sinners and child molesters. I have had to deal with it quite recently with a friend that was one years ago. I find it difficult to forgive, but as a Christian I am told I must. It is hard but I did. That was told to me by the one who was molested. . So I feel they will all have to face His wrath when they die and leave this Earth and come face to face with God. I wish I could answer you with more information. I just answered how I feel in my heart. God Bless and take care, Sandy

i don't want you to think i am, well, pure evil. i am a christian at heart, and i have gave my life to Jesus, but i just have one question....one simple question that has been racking my brain for some time now; if God loves us so, why did he let us, the sinners, kill his only begotten son? why does he let child molesters get away with their evil deeds and be free to raise children from the evil he did, and be able to put them through the same exact evil he gave to their mother (even after he admitts to the authority of his evil ways)? when will God make the evil ones pay for their evil ways, and let the ones who need his love, the ones that try their hardest to follow his path, give them the love they are so desperately seeking? i am not trying to be a, well, i am sure what i am trying to say without me saying it, i am just curious about these things. i will always love Jesus Christ but when it comes to God, himself, i am starting to have my doubts. all in all, this is a very loving, touching and beautiful poem. i really enjoyed it, and that is coming from the bottom of my heart and soul.
