Green would have to be my favorite color
my eyes were green the day I was born
growing up in a countryside hamlet
surrounded by green fields of corn.
Lush green leas and rolling hillsides
nature's velvet carpet is all I could see
the green trees in springtime and summer
would come to life giving shade to me.
As a child how I loved and adored Kermit
a green frog who lived at Sesame Place
when he sang, It's Not Easy Being Green
Kermit always put a big smile on my face.
As a teenager I loved green so much more
it was the nicest shade I had ever seen
I was the happiest girl in the world
I loved lots of money the color of green.
For years it has been my favorite color
I love the many shades you find in Spring
some shades are pea, lime, and kelly too
I love the shade in my jade pinkie ring.
Some people are always green with envy,
Herman Munster and Frankenstein are green,
there are green dragons throughout legends,
green is the prettiest color I have ever seen.
