Mystical Light

Sweet breath of an angel
In perfect harmony and peace
As you glory in his presence
your rapture does increase
Touched by the aura from Heaven
spread around you from a child you grew
You can dwell upon that angel child
from the time that you were new
You rose on high so young and raw
from the depths of the earth
you came
Now you live in this heavenly place
that always stays the same.

..................................

Tinkerbell they call her
your little angel girl
she stays close by you always
For around you she will twirl
You are her angel Mother
She your child of light
Sleep now angel mother
I'll watch over you tonight

...................................

The touch of an angel is something
we all crave.
The feeling that we are being protected
and watched over each day and night
gives us a spiritual warmth.
I have met angels I think. I have
felt their close embrace.
Their beauty. their radiance
which is beyond comprehension.
Yes I think I have felt an angels hug
Yes I have felt their gentle kiss.
For I have had my soul awakened
and my eyes opened to their presence

This brings back memories for me.....

This reminded me so much of an experience my 5 year old niece had with seeing two angels after she fell from a third story balcony. She recovered from brain surgery, and when she woke up, she told her mom and dad that she met Jesus, and that he told her "Your room isn't ready yet." She went on to tell her mom and dad that Heaven had so many toys and flowers, and that she also remembered seeing a pretty lady rubbing her broken head on the helicopter trip, and another one helping the helicopter fly faster. She is 8 today, and has no memory of her fall, nor what she saw of angels or Heaven, but her mom and dad will never forget what she told them, and neither will I.

DawnBaby recommended to me to read your beautiful poetry, as I like to write about spirituality and the afterlife. I look forward to reading more.

I certainly hope there are angels, I could use one looking after me.

I don't think my guardian angel would be called Tinkerbell however...Maybe Marvin or Bertha.

    Dear Janice,

This poem is full of unaffected expression that bespeaks the love with which it was written.
I find the conviction of these lines especially
    touching:
"Yes I think I have felt an angels hug
Yes I have felt their gentle kiss.
For I have had my soul awakened
and my eyes opened to their presence."

    Good luck in the contest.
Applause, love and hugs, XXX Hugh R.

I so love and believe in Angels. This is just wonderful Janice. It gave me a warm feeling of love and protection. I always thought that Tinkerbell was a Fairy, but since fairies don't exist... Tinkerbell is an exquisite name for an angel.
This poem filled me with a sense of comfort and peace and I enjoyed it so. As usual your writing is most excellent my friend. This one no exception to the gift of your talent. Did that make sense? I hope you know what I meant...lol A little scatter-brained today! huggles
    Blessings ~Frog

Beautiful and inspiring. An angel was standing right by me once protecting me from a dangerous man, the angel stayed until he left. His presence was so real although I didn't see him with my eyes. Oh you won a silver, I'm not at all surprised.

Back today for judging with some others Janice. This was a full blown piece of poetry with so many visuals for the reader to think upon. Although I liked this in it's entirety I loved this:
The touch of an angel is something
    we all crave.
The feeling that we are being protected
and watched over each day and night
    gives us a spiritual warmth.
I have met angels I think. I have
    felt their close embrace.
    Their beauty. their radiance
    which is beyond comprehension.
Yes I think I have felt an angels hug
Yes I have felt their gentle kiss.
For I have had my soul awakened
and my eyes opened to their presence..
I too have experienced angels..an amazing write my dear.."Thank you" for such a creative write and entering my contest. All the best hon

The write was beautiful I liked the different perspectives that you gave and the fact you wrote about both of the angels it hasn't really been focused on yet so well done and good luck

"You rose on high so young and raw" - love this line. The astericks between stanzas tricked me into thinking the poem was much shorter that it truly was... Tricksey Hobbittses.
