All of what is absorbed into my face
Is reflected back unto your face
With words, kisses, and teeth
In this way
We are dependant on one-another
I don't listen so I can brood over the facts
I listen to recall the time that
I listened to a beautiful story
With an ending beneficial to all aspects of life
So I can relay the experiences
To you, with said
Words, kisses, and teeth
And so the days pass with a sort of
Plant to water relationship
Switching roles
And eventually growing into
Unexpected things such as
Large wolf and small white rabbit
For an anniversary we will dull things down
Because by then we have grown into hippos or lions
Being much too much for a small dinner party
A salad for the woman
A steak for the man
Music set to the fluctuation of the clouds
Which are numerous, spread out like wool
Dreams freshly sheared from the human mind
You smile at me
I can't help but laugh
Continuing the everlasting saga of
How my day was...
Author notes
I suppose this would be #4.
It's for my boy, if you couldn't tell. x_x;

Sometimes, just having someone to listen to you is better than being wined, dined, and romanced the entire day. Quite a few people know how my day went yesterday--it was kinda terrible
However, this is a lovely piece, and I think that it is playfully sweet. Nowadays, I don't have anyone (as far as significant others are concerned) to listen to me...which is both a bad and a good thing; it is not all that good because it means I am easier to frustrate and anger...but it is a great thing because it forces me to write
Thanks for the lovely entry, and the best of luck to you in the contest.
Many blessings,
