We have heard
that tale about
a lovely enchantress
and her silken tresses.
As it is known,
her unmatched beauty
and pink-tinted lips
are said to captivate
all those
that lay their
eyes on her...
How come
no one wonders
why few tell
of their close encounters
with this seductress?
Or why
despite the years
she seems to be
untouched by time
itself?
They do not know
they WOULD not know
the fate
befalling
each man that climbs
that cursed tower.
The long trip up
is indeed rewarded
with that lovely dame.
But on
those pink lips
rest
a sinister grin.
She wastes not a second
to rip out
her prey's beating heart.
As she feasts on it,
and sates her thirst
with young men's blood...
Perhaps that is how
dear Rapunzel
lives to keep
beckoning men
and throwing out
those silken locks.
Author notes
i had an idea, but after reading what i wrote, i think i have enough reason to think a significant part of it fled from me
anyway, i love fairy tales...
and the "what if"s that follow each of them
