Dedicated To Onfire4Jesus
When he speaks of God we all listen
when he sings we smile as we hear his song
when ever we seem to have a cloudy day
he tells us that blue skies will soon be along
When we feel lost he says to reach to Jesus
when we are sad to look to Heaven above
when we are in pain pray to God Almighty
he tells us to open our hearts to Gods love
When we feel persecuted by others
when we haven't the strength to carry on
when Satan seems to be tempting us
he is there to tell us we are never alone.
When it seems all hope is just about gone
when the tears start to fall like rain
when you just about had all you can take
he will help you to find your faith again.
Who is this remarkable young Christian
why is he there when ever we seem to fall
where does he get all of his compassion
he is so devoted since he accepted God's call.
He is our very own poet Onfire4Jesus
he is so loving and so sweet as can be
he is there whenever you need a friend
Charles I love you son for all eternity
Author notes
I wrote this after I was having a bad day earlier and as I sat crying and praying, the phone rings and it was Charles. He starts singing worship songs, playing his guitar and praying, and singing songs from scripture for more then an hour. He was so sweet. That is why I love him as a son. He calls me Mom and calls me everyday to see how I am. He is a special blessing from God. Charles, I will love you dearly as a son always. You will always be a part of my Christian family and my real family. I love you, Mom

I read this earlier, but while I was commenting we had a power surge...grrrrrrrr.
Girl!!!!!!!!! This is an amazing piece. You put your whole heart into this one. It is not only masterfully written, it is a true tribute to a wonderful man. I know he will treasure this for a life time and then some. You out did yourself with this one. EXCELLENT!!!

I'm not sure as to what to say in this one other than it's a wonderful relationship of giving that you have with him.
This really is well written. I can't imagine how touched he is that you wrote this for him. You seem to have a gift for writing tribute poems. I do think that such a gift comes from being able to write so purely from the heart.

I'm not Christian, in fact very bitter towards the idea, but this was simply a very sweet write, which was answered sweetly as well. What better way than to reach out to someone through words, through something as personal as this to let them know they've touched you in a positive way.

My Dear Sandy, my Heavenly friend
always and forever, together we'll be
When we pass from earth, it will not end
For we will be together in eternity
With words of love, inside our heart
words of encouragement, on our mind
Our friendship is forever, we'll never part

This was truly one of the greatest poems you've written for me and I greatly appreciate and am very thankul that I have a friend like you who is always there to listen to me and talk to me and make me smile. I thank you for everything. I love all the times that we get to talk on the phone and that I get to sing for you and to you and with you and pray with you and everything. I look forward to the next time I get to come down there and spend a weekend there again. That was truly a lot of fun. But more than anything, I really hope to go to Missouri during the week of the 18th so I can surprise RJ at his graduation!! I'll go in my full Dress White Uniform with my Medals and everything!! That will be awesome!! So please keep that in your prayers as I will be going down there (If God will allow that to work out) Well my dear sweet mom, I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day!!
