Rain running down my window,
As I sit here at my desk
Thinking of the times gone by
When we were at our best
I loved you then with all my heart
You made me glow with pride
We laughed and cried in each others arms
You stood there by my side
Through hard times and through good times
Through lean years and through thin
You were there when help was needed
Together we would win
Those days have sadly gone away
Where to I do not know
I often wondered...was it me who caused our love to die
Or was it you who made our love an everlasting lie
I just have to tell you
Its right here
Inside my head...I want to say I'm sorry
For all the things I never said.

absolutely heart wrenching...........great job of expressing feelings.

wow very powerful words

Ouch
This is a great poem but the rhyme scheme completely changes in the last two stanzas. The 3rd and 4th lines of the second to last stanza are very long, too. Overall, though, it's a powerful poem full of pain. There's nothing worse than regret for things said, or unsaid. Good luck in the contest.
