Gossip
It's pointless
It can ruin people's day.
It's not your life
So why do you care anyway?
Gossip turns into rumors
And rumors are always cruel.
They always end up becoming
Something they never should.
They cause people pain.
Don't people realize,
That gossip is not a game?
She did this,
He did that,
Bryan dumped Jessie,
And then asked out Matt!
Why do people care
So much about others' lives?
They have their own to think about.
Why should they waste their time?

excellent piece, i totaly agree with you, i've had my fair share of gossip and to be honest am sick of it, people don't seem to care that it can ruin someone elses life. I put it down to some people just needing drama in their lives but i do wish they would lay off.

i teach kids and hear gossip literally all day. it's amazing what it does to their lives at such a young age. so, i think there's a lot of truth in your poem. this could probably be more poetic (in the stereotypical poetic definition) if it had more imagery and such in it. but it is very simple, which is good if that's what you're going for. i do think that the uncomplicated, straightforward lines are good for this topic. nice job.

i dont no how passionate spirit can say that I LOVE IT its so true recantly so 1 gossiped abt my freind and as u sed it turned into a rumor so for abt a mounth she was nicknamed bum-licker i mean how stupid but neways GREAT STUFF keep it up

i fully dissagree with passionate spirit.
Gossip is a huge part of everyones life and i myself have been subject to gossip that then turned to rumour, which in its self turned to hate towards me between my friends.
I like it. sometimes you dont need complex words to get across the point of what you are saying.

This was great. I have to admit I tend to be a gossipper at times like we all are but I try to keep it about the good things not bad and I spose we just need to know other people go through the same things we do.
