Still True

I have a story to tell you
One of a child born long ago,
And far far away.

He had a normal childhood
Once he entered adulthood though
It all changed.

He could heal people
All by the touch of his hand
And he did

The blind could see
The lame could walk
All by his touch

The mute could talk
The deaf could hear
All by the word of his mouth

Later in his life he was arrested
And put on a cross
He died there

He died for you
And for me
His name is Jesus Christ

He was sealed in a tomb
Three days later he arose and
And gave his disciples a commission

to make disciples of the world
in other words
We are to spread his word to all

and make Christians in all the nations
by teaching them about his Life
so the question is...

where are you with Jesus?

Author notes

This is a poem that I wrote a few years ago but I changed it and thought I should put up this version too.

Wow a very strong poem or I should say writing. You must be a preacher or wanting to be one. I think this would be good for those who are just starting to believe, to understand why we love him so much.

I just want to reach out to those who don't know or are afraid to know you know what I mean? Good write.....GOD'S BLESSING LAURA
