I Can't Sleep

Tossing and turning,
I cannot sleep,
I've even been trying,
To count some sheep.

But even in my slumber,
I can't escape the fact,
That no matter what I do,
You won't be coming back.

You're with him now,
Even while I write,
Even while I'm feeling down,
You're smile is shining bright.

What can I do,
What can I say,
To make you,
look at me that way.

How can I tell you,
The way I really feel,
If you're already with him,
While I try to heal.

We had so much fun,
In that vacation week,
But when it was all said and done,
I was still stuck up a creek.

Just give me a chance,
give me just as long as him,
If only for a single dance,
You're heart for me to win.
