Forgotten You

I remember the way you kissed me
As you pressed me against that old wooden door
Every night I replay that
Knowing that it's you that made me so strong

I've forgotten you
And all the heartache you put me through
Ever tear I cried
Cleansed the night
And all the memories ease the pain
Knowing that I've forgotten you

You made me so special
The days seemed so short
Time passed so quick
When I was with you
But...

I've forgotten you
All the lies you told me
That I am finally finding
And all the tears shed
Make it alright now
Knowing that I've forgotten you

So I go on
Living for me
Knowing that you're somewhere else
Making those memories of yours
With someone else
So....

I've forgotten you
And life is so much better
I found that certain someone
And here I smile and hold him
Knowing that I've forgotten you

Jenn, I ahve been away for awhile but your poems have become even better than before. I didn't think it was possible but you have become a better poet than most on this sight. Keep it up and write me back. Love ya-JD (Gale)

Jemmy it's really something that only you can overcome, to truly forget and I think that you've done it. That's one of the hardest things one must do. I admire your strength. Keep the poems coming and I'll come back to read when I can. Luv ya and miss you... *Sonya*
