She often sits late at night
with thick black tears
running down her flushed face
Blackened obsidian tears
almost a thousand burials of another
Lost words and unspeakable acts of
forgiveness
She ponders why
Why, she waits with her heart pounding against
her carotid
Pulsating streams of red
Corpuscles chasing every synapse
Feel the snap
of indifference
She often sits
late at night
When the house is quiet
and all you can hear
are her thick black tears
Dropping one by one
to the
sodden floor
Unspeakable acts of
forgiveness

i absolutely hate all angsty poems, unless they do something that makes them stand out. lines such as "Corpuscles chasing every synapse" and "her carotid" absolutely make this poem stand above the crowd. it gives the poem a flare, an edge if you will, bringing it out to be less the cliched version of 'angsty' and more of the GOOD angst that seems to be disappearing.

i don't need an explanation to see the image your presenting here. this is wonderfully written!

This is very deep and very meaningful and it's almost painful at the same time. It's like the reader can almost feel that thickness of the black tears as they thud at every single drop to the ground. This had me intensely captivated!
Great Write
Major Props for this one
