Metamorphosis.
Emerge...
Flutter...
Fly.
Lessons From A Butterfly.
Wrap up
in your cocoon...
For as long as
it takes to heal.
Be careful not to
stay to long,
Lest your wings remain
forever still.
Tentatively come out
of your protective shell.
Open your eyes
to the new world you find.
Discard the safety
of your little home.
Leave its memory behind.
Realize your new form,
beauty and grace.
Test the new you...
Go at your own pace.
Spread your wings
feel the wind rush past.
Flutter, and then fly
with confidence at last.

superb
I love this piece you have penned it speaks to me of the true beginings when you step out of that shell where you feel so comfortable.
It seems like we all want to live that dream where things look so differently to us when we open our eyes and finally walk of our own free will.
I do have to admit that my first impression was that of a bride leaving her family home to settle down in the nest of her new in-laws and husband.
I like it, I like it so!
