Collecting some of the somewhat soggy remains of his notebooks from the rocks, and finding a broken pencil stub, he began to sketch what he could remember of the hooded fighter... the dark cloak of an indistinguishable colour, glimmering in the darkness, rendering the wearer completely invisible in his surroundings; the tall, slender body structure, so quick and silent, yet a surer and stronger fighter one would be hard pressed to find. And... the talisman. A silver bangle, on a simple chain, drawn from within the cloak and thoughtfully examined while the stranger sat perched in the moonlight on the large rock dominating the clearing.
Engrossed in his sketches, Reion didn't notice the silent figure currently residing on the rock, peering over his shoulder at the shadowy figure emerging on the paper, and he started in fear when a soft rustle announced it's presence. Whirling about and ready to run, Reion's eyes locked onto those of his observer, and found a pair of familiar eyes silently gazing back at him.
Blinking, heart still pounding, Reion silently gathered the papers as they lazily floated about the clearing, eyeing his old friend, searching for time's unavoidable affects. The same deep, thoughtful blue eyes still glimmered from underneath the familiar shoulder length tangle of red-brown hair, with the chilling solitary natural white highlight framing the pale freckled slender face.
"You're... you're alive."
Author notes
Yup, a story. Aren't you amazed? Yes, yes, I know, it's entered as a poem, I will change it back after wards, but its for a contest, and oh yeah, I can't feel my legs!
Saw a contest I liked, so here it is. Sorry it's short, and sorry its icky, but I'm not the best at writing things out... Anyhow, hope this fits for the contest, it was hard to find a part with a lot of description, because the charaters develope and change throughout the story.
I need a better name for Reion. I needed a name, because in my rush to get this typed up for the contest deadline, I don't have the time to make it so I could have nameless characters without saying 'he' a zillion times (which did happen anyways in this installment, I will be back to edit) So I just randomly picked some letters and wah-lah! A name fit for a character with no name. But at the moment I'm to keen on it. But I have a feeling it might grow on me eventually... Oh! And I need a title... obviously you all wont be able to help with either request (amaze me if you can) because you have no idea what goind to happen! Actually, at this point, I have no idea where this will end, although I have a pretty good idea what diretion it's heading, so don't worry, you will get to suffer through several more of these!
Okay, this is sad... my authour's comments are about the same length as the story itself... I'm pathetic, huh.
UPDATE
This now has a title... It was formally known as "Untitled Numero Uno" Sorry if it confuses anyone!

This is very well done, and i can't wait to get to the next two enstallments. I like the rhythm, and the brevity. Just need some editing and sorry that it took me so long to find. best wishes, Jess, always.

You've a keen sence for noticing things, no one else seemed to realize Rei' was an artist. Thank you for the honorable mention in the contest, it was a great contest idea! The random letter-names are quite stuck on me, I'm begining to like them, and am busy coming up with more! Thank you for the comment, HM, and for a wonderful contest. (I would have never posted this if you hadn't run the contest!)

Ah picking random letters, reminds me of how most of my character names come about
Good write of an artist saved by a hooden figure with a talisman with an old friend he though dead, watching nearby. Good start to a story and looks like it'll turn into a great story
. Thanks for entering and good luck!

Glad you liked it JuanAnguas! Thank you so much for the comment, glad I achieved the affect I was aiming for! The next part is up, and hopefully I'll get another up today too, and I now have a title... "Dressed To Die" Not that that has any plot reference...
Anywho, hope you enjoy!

Cliffhanger plot!!! very nice indeed..
It left me with curiosity and intrigued to see what's going to happen next. Very nice use of the descriptions and easy to follow threads. It does give the impression of being there in the middle of everything and how your main character is remembering the events and now becomes dazzled when realizing who was there next to him. Keep it going!!...and hope to see the continuation posted soon! Best wishes for the contest~ Juan Anguas
