Destruction

Puffy red eyes slowly blink
Gazing inwardly at the empty room
Asking, wondering who could actually think
That such power could be blasted - boom.

Tears well up
(You thought you had none)
A struggle with the bedcovers
And you were out.
Grabbing your phone,
You called:
Once.
Twice.
Thrice.
And the battery (of your life) went flat.

The wardrobe was empty.
No more of her fancy clothes
But just one letter:
"I loved you, but because I do,
I hated you too.
I can't stay.
Goodbye.
I'm so sorry I could not watch you die."
