for so little reason
out of His Love-seed,
I become the flower~
In abundance I carry no greater gift-
A large bouquet in spite of my littleness
the fragrance around each of my shallow breaths
that never could be sensed before.
New heart,I search the foliage of eternal things;
new eyes that see His nearness, watering my effort
new tongue yearns to sing in gratitude like a lover
uttering tirelessly, my Lord,
oh! My darling.
And in this most lowly stand,
His hand rests always on my shoulder
Blessings that from the Scarlet blood
and sanguine pain, come my bloom in Gold.
No one but Royalty,
but as only a friend would do-
could bring me into His Great garden,
to walk the rocky path with
the Lily of the Valley-
I, as His rose,
my precious King, Jesus Christ.
Author notes
My application of this wonderful contest is an intimate one using metaphors according to the list of 5 of the criteria
I commented on BlueRose's "One To One" It's the Way To Jesus, and will read many more and list them as this program is at a frenzy right now..lol. It keeps erasing what I am posting.
I am a Proud Jesus Freak and I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ

You've Been Hoodwinked!
I agree with J Rhys that is poem has a wonderfully serene and tranquil flow. It puts you at peace. It is comforting and does a great relaying devotion, dedication, and thankfulness. Your word choice is melodic and poetic.

The one thing I love most about what I read from you is the fact that it always gives me such a serene feeling of being at one with the Big Man upstairs. Thanks for reminding me now and then about that.

Passionately compassionate and divinely divine! Your love for our Lord, Jesus the Christ and for God our Creator, has been inspired by His Holy Ghost -- what a gift of grace, what a deepset engraving upon the heart with a gentle urge and a sacret zest!

Wow my friend. This just leaves one such as myself speechless and in awe. I mean, just the way you wrote this, and as Vickie Said, He's the lily, and we are the rose. Your expressions that you used in this poem made it simply amazing to read and very powerful

What a splendid way to express your thoughts and His love.
A powerful entry to the contest -
This was a beautifully written poem in honor of your relationship with the Lord. I never thought of comparing salvation to an invitation to walk in His garden. How perfect is that? He's the lily and you the rose - they compliment each other. I really loved this~

this is truly beautiful. your love for jesus showed through tremendously in this poem and the poetic techniques that you used worked extremely well. I loved all of the poem, but I particularly like this verse:
New heart-I search the foliage of eternal things;
new eyes that see His nearness, watering my effort
new tongue that yearns to sing in gratitude like a lover
uttering tirelessly, my Lord,
oh! My darling.
Thanks for the wonderful read
