Soul, where have you been?
Wondering about
in the woods,
by the river,
by the highway,
lost from the path home.
Soul, where have you been?
Hiding away
behind sheets,
in the old house,
in the basement,
eyes closed eyes in fear.
Soul, where have you been?
Following lights
of an Angel,
on the path,
through the woods,
leading the way home.
Soul, where are you going?
To hold a light
for the Angel
on the path
through the woods
finding her way home.Jason Yarbrough

I love how you've structured this, it really is very remarkable. The repetition of the 'soul, where have you been?', and how it finally changes to 'soul, where are you going?'. I don't know if that's just me or what, but I was absolutely stupified by the brilliance of that, and how you mention the relationship of the path and your soul, I think it's beautiful
