What Do You Do?

 




What do you do when someone is trying to tell you that you are going to hell;
When they are saying that if you do not believe as I believe then you are EVIL;
When you are told that if, you do not go to there church you will be going to the Devil?

 




Well I guess you could get mad
and tell them to get out of your face.
You could even tell them to go straight to HELL .
Why I have even seen people get into fist-fights over this.

 




However, I just say to them,
That I am glad that they have such a good faith.
I hope that they are blessed for it.

I thank them for wanting to help me.
However am very happy with my God,
Moreover, I have peace within my heart and soul.
In addition, I do so hope that they will have the same with their faith.

    I love this. It's nice to see how people react to things like this. It is annoying having people try to push their beliefs on you, but it does give you the chance to see human nature in all of it's ugly glory sometimes. I usually try to just walk away if it's possible, although sometimes it isn't. Nice work!

    Everyone has their own beliefs. Even our beliefs differ somewhat and you're my mother. However, I always try to respect and appreciate what you believe in as I know you do for me. That is one thing I have learned so well from you, tolerance. You have always had that attitude no matter what others have said about you. Crazy, a liar, a witch or any other name they thought to choose and you would just smile and let it ride. Unfortunately, I have thinner skin. I always get mad about what others say about me or you. It's one of my flaws

    excellent. This was an interesting piece but so true. Everyone believes in different higher power or gods and I personally hate when someone tries to tell me what i need to believe instead of letting me make my own choices and being okay with it. Great job.

    Great poem, but i have a simple problem with it. When you said:
    "Someone is trying to tell you that you are going to hell." but you 'blanked out' the part that gos:
    "You could even tell them to go straight to H ." It kinda confused me. Is it supposed to be a three letter word? Is the word heck or hell? Can you actually just send me a response telling me what exactly the word was. This is just so i can fully understand your true intent for the poem. As said earlier, the rest of the poem was great, it's just that one part that confused me. (it might be easier for future readers if you put the actual 'replacement' word/ letters in for the blank. Thank you and keep writing.

    Nicely put Rose Patrick. I couldn't have said it better with more mature voice than this gave. It's so very well written.

    I did notice one typo that jumped out with "fist sight" instead of "fist fight". Other than that, your whole piece was very tight and a great example of how things can be spoken versus settling tolerance aside.

    Well done hun! Again such a relatable piece and honest feelings there. When people tell me that I am going to hell, I usally either say "believe what you will and so shall I, for I know better" or "Really? I thought this was hell. A place full of ingorance and self righteous people that take upon themselves the judgment of the world and all that's in it" LOL Honestly, I do say that LOL Anway, silence usually works as well just give them the "Ohhhh Paaahhhhlllleeaaseee" LOOK LOL Great work hun Gypsy

    This was amazingly refreshing.
    I'm always a little flattered when someone tries to "save my soul" Because they honestly believe it, and they try, I should be appreciative, even if it is a bit annoying.
    Anyway I liked this. It's Such a neglected vantage, tolerance.
    Nice to see it's not lost
