Dear Lord,
I pray today for my dear friend Linda,
beautiful Linda,
vibrant Linda,
my very best friend in the whole wide world.
You know the love we have for each other
and you know exactly where both of us are
right now,
this very moment.
Me here in Connecticut;
Linda wherever she may be.
Lord, I miss her and I long to speak with her again.
I long for our hours of talk and chatter,
laughter and anguish,
tears and smiles.
Lord, I miss her and I yearn to see her again.
To sit and drink tea and coffee together,
forgetting the years spent apart.
Just sitting together like it’s still
the 1970’s and we are still
young
and in love
and so
very much
alive.
Lord, the years have torn us
apart from each other.
Circumstances have broken our
friendship and left us
isolated.
Lord, please heal our friendship and
bring us back together in love
and in hope,
and in true harmony of spirit.
Lord, please bless Linda abundantly
wherever she may be
and in whatever phase of
her life she is living.
Lord, please reach down
and touch her heart
and save her.
Let her know her Abba Father.
Let her know You love her more than
any man or woman,
child or friend
ever
could.
Lord, I may not be able to be
with her in this life,
but I plead with you
to allow us to be together for all
eternity with You
in heaven.
Lord, thank You for hearing my prayer.
Thank You for being my wonderful
God.
I love You so much and
I trust in You for all
my needs and wants.
I trust You with
my best friend Linda
and
I leave her in
Your
Hands.

Option 1 - for my best friend
This is a prayer for my best friend from my childhood years. We have lost contact with each other and I am concerned about her. Usually, I can find her and it's easy for us to reconnect, but I have not been able to find her. Please pray this prayer for her and for all our friends we have "lost" in one way or another. Thank you all.

Sis, this has got to be the most loving prayer for your friend, Linda. I don't see how it could have offended her in anyway. Everything about this poem speaks love and no one could be offended with love. Well, I say that, yet the majority in this world are offended by God's definition of love, and that is the love you speak here in such a beautiful way: both the love of and for God as well as your love for Linda.
Our prayers are mapped out for us on behalf of our best friends. We don't know where they have to go or what they must go through before they reach the place where God wants them. So, we pray.

This is a beautiful prayer. It is so sad to lose touch with wonderful friends. Time passing and circumstance keeps us from each other so often. My heart cries for my friends that are not in my everyday life. I pray God bless you and your friends friendship, in Jesus Name. Thank you for entering the contest.
