civil monster

Fearless warriors stand tall and large
Like statues of historic heroes
Called civil beasts today
Necessary evils,
Shutting out traces of azure empyrean fields
Harvesting infinity and dreams of worlds to come

They are the ivory towers in which
Illusions of harmony paint pale pictures
Of unconvincing reality
Scorched skies shelter these
Adolescent beasts of future destruction
Earth's greenery takes new shape of steel cities

While visionaries wonder
Why the birds have flown away

animals kill for their food. beasts kill indiscriminately, ruthlessly, mecilessly to sustain their predominance. animals are creatures of nature, beasts are monstrosities, out of tune with the balance of progressive evolution. they are adoloscent implying that innocence and helplessness of infancy is departed, but the full extent of their destructive faculties have not yet developed. which is why they are still participant of the natural order and not tyrants of a mechanical kingdom.

    Beautifully written.
    Nice language.
    I just could not get
    'Adolescent beasts of future destruction'.
    See,
    Beasts are innocent too.
They only kill for their food.
    (Not like the innocent Men).
