Nobody

Nobody could see in the dark of the night,
Nobody could live without a drop of light.
After stepping out into the world,
Everybody saw what became of all the old.
The dank smell over came their senses,
So many there were that had died.

Nobody could breathe outside,
Nobody could believe that someone had lied.
They lied and lied and lied,
Everybody was told that they would live forever.
But of course they found out the truth,
Death is imminent.
