Faith

Faith

Faith what is it?
Who has it?
I know that there are my different kinds of religion.
I know that people say that they believe in things.

However, what does this have to do with faith?
I have seen so many people say that I am this religion or this religion.
Yet then I see them doing things that go against,
The very things that religion teaches them.
So is this their faith?

To me faith is not any kind of religions.
Faith to me is what comes from your heart and soul.
To me that is total different from religions.

I am a druid.
I have had people ask me to you believe in the devil?
My answer to that is that yes, I believe that there is evil in this world.
To which a lot of evil in this world is man made.
I have had people ask me do you believe in Jesus.
My answer to this is yes I believe that Jesus live and die for what he believed.

Yet I have seen so many that say that they believe in Jesus,
yet go against what he taught.
To me faith is something that is what makes us what we are as a person.
I know that faith is a hard thing to have when things do not goes as we wish them to.I have heard people turn away,
from what they said they believe in when thing go wrong.

So is this faith?
I think not, Faith to me knows that thing will be for the good.
That my God will never let me down no matter what.
He has never let me down, even when things were bad for me.
I knew that he was there and that he would come through for me.

Therefore, my question to you is what is your faith.
Is it a religion is it real faith.
Is it something that you would die for?
So it is said:
So let it be done:

There is always some moment outside of oneself when they look towards other things to bring them back to themselves, to living, to feel wanted, to love, to believe... faith has so many facets to hold. Yet, we are only as blessed as when we allow it to grip us firmly with whatever the task is at hand.

You capture such feelings well in your write Rose Patrick. Thank you for this.

    A+

I agree with Amunet Wolfbane. Faith isn't just something that's specific to religion. You can and must have faith in yourself. Without faith, nobody would be able to muster the strength to move on. Great work. I was supposed to comment on your work for a contest, but now I think I'm going to keep reading more!

Another great piece, full of wise thoughts. Faith, is beyond religion, faith is in the heart, soul and mind. Faith is what moves us through the days and gives strength to our spirits, and if done right to our religion as well. If someone questions your faith perhaps they should question their own Of course being different always seems to inviste controversy. What can we do eh? LOL Great piece hun!

I love this. I truly hope many more people read it, because so many need to be forced to think about what they believe and whether or not their actions are hypocritical according to those beleifs. I had a bad experience with a religious nut already this morning, so this really made my day better.

Rose, this is a very good poem questioning faith. Everyone should examine their own hearts and see what faith is or is not there. For me, I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. There have just been so many times in my life I would of never made it without Him. If more people would have an understanding that faith and religion are two different things this would be a much better world. Penny

I could tell you thought about this for quite some time, and i understnad the reasoning you used. But could faith not be believing that even if you go against some of the teachings out of human error , with remorse you can be forgiven?

for myself: religion is a doctrine of rules and regulations such as the old testiment wrote the 10 commandements to be followed by Moses so people would have a guideline of good and evil.
spiritual is a personal relationship that you speak of freely with your God, mine is Jesus that I pray to continuously on a daily basis without breakage.
we eat from meal to meal and drink from water, tea to coke to coffee as I pray from morning to noon to night to dark till moon thirty. Not necessarily consiously but I continuously seek God's counsel in all matters and ask for guidance and direction with my decisons within my day, hour and present matter.
Each to his own. Some can live on sermon one hour per week.
Some can live on one sermon per year.
I can only survive from one meal till the next for I rely heavly not upon myself but on my holy one for my direction and my counsel for without it I am lost in a cold cruel world.

not that this is your answer, just wanted to rant a while

    cheeriios!
be blessed in all you do today and always
    Tamara

This has a great message. A few grammatical errors here and there, but nobody's perfect. I wonder if you got this idea from that prayer on my author page...if you did; it makes me feel awful guilty. Probably because I am I know I don't act the way I should to demonstrate my beliefs either. I hate it when you always know when I've been a bad girl

awesome. how very true. soooooooo many hypocrites in the world, and it seems like only a few can see them for what they REALLY are. i absolutely loved the way you came right out and said what so many people are afraid to point out. i'm glad that there are still a few people out there with enough common sense to see what the world we're living in has become. well, please excuse my rambling....can't seem to stay quiet this morning!! anyway, once again, GREAT WRITE!!! ur AWESOME!!!
