Band-Aid

I need a band-aid
a little sticky plastic strip

to cover my pain, to end this trip

you forgot to mention,
that you bite

and why didn't you tell me
that you bite

Kenny Goodman, what is it with you
The high school girls were right, too good to be true

but high school is cancer
and the only drug
is your escape

So let's go Kenny, let's leave this place
Oh, that's right you, can't even look at my face

That's what i love about you, baby cake
You bite me apart, with your teeth so fake

Kenny, Mr. Kenny
I wanna be your lucky penny
Throw me in the wishing well
down, down, make a splash

useless piece of plastic trash.

Author notes

it's amazing what the tortured heart can boil up. this includes every element of a shattered soul. Don't read in between the lines, it's there.

Sincerely,
Lily Belle with the Golden Brown Hair

Score. Best piece yet. You are for sure in the top one or two of my favorite poets on this site. All I can really say is this is more than impressive.
