I am Here

I am here to hold you when you are cold
To hold you when you need love
My arms around you I will fold
To hold you up to the stars above

I am here to speak words that are true
To speak my life into your heart
My words will bring love to you
To comfort you when your times are hard

I am here to shield you from any harm
To protect you from the dark unknown
My love in you will keep you save in my arms
To show my gratitude for the love you have shown

I am here to love you for who you are
To love everything in your eyes
My faith in you is like the brightest star
To take away my tears when I need to cry

So whenever you need someone there
That is faithful and true
When you feel that life is just not fair
Remember always, that I am here for you

    VERY GOOD

    A really beautiful poem, Empie. I love the rhyming and rhythm. One small mistake I picked up on that you may want to fix: third verse, third line - shouldn't it read "keep you safe in my arms"? Instead of "save". The wording is wonderful. Keep going.
