Light at the End of Darkness

Happiness surrounds me
Around my light,at the end of the long, dark hall-
My Angel waits
Carefully I proceed as if walking on egg shells
not a single one must break

I loose concentration
almost slipped, doubts fill, emotions run wild
But my angel smiles at me-
instant reassurance, darkness fades
A jungle springs forth, more trials await
I continue with confidence -
Nothing will stop me
As long as I wield her heart,
I will go.

Darkness begins to grow
My angel weeps, faster I move
There she is, I'm almost there
Her black tears turn to joy
as I hold her tight.
"My Love, you are now safe,"
as I gaze into her eyes.
She whispers, "I love you."

There is no darkness, only light
in the palm of The Father, we are safe.
Our love is everlasting.
I wipe the black streams away
and close them with a kiss,
"as do I", I tell my love.
"No more worries. You're safe."

I really like this. I love the hopefulness of this. I think we all have that one "angel" that fils us with that extra dose of reassurance and confidence when doubts raises it's ugly head. This is very well written. Writing is such a wonderful form of expression and a great outlet for the things we all hold inside. I am so glad you have chosen Allpoetry as the place to share your talent. I encourage you to wander around and become familiar with all the wonderful features we have here.
