My Friends

My friends are great in many ways
for who they are i must appraise
they help me when things go wrong
and they keep me strong
even when things take so long
so believe that i belong.
a friend is a person
to laugh and cry with
an inspiration
i guess you need explanation
all my friends have the same accusation
the best in the world
they are all adored

    How wonderful to have such nice friends. They are important, you know. As-far-as critique, hmmmm...maybe dress up the punctuation/capitalization thing. It doesn't bother me over-much, but if you aren't going to use capitalization, then don't capitalize the first word either... The rhythm could use a little work, but all-in-all you did a good job. Write on, poet!!

    I came by this poem on "Random" . I am looking for a poem to use in a contest, and I think I'll use this one. The point of the contest is to write an "opposite feel" to a poem I find on All Poetry. So, that is what I will do...write a poem with the opposite feel of your poem. Hmmmm...wonder if it will be any good?
