i am the river queen
i'd been that from my birth
when the branches on the river-bank
cradled my heart in a hammock
of illusion
with my fingers i moulded the clay
of centuries
and the distant stars of day
i spilled into waterfalls' sparkling soul
with my eyes i cast the caprice of life
in rounded boulders
and in stones i muted dreams' most
passionate cries
i sketched the whistles of invisible birds
upon the bark
of trees; upon the river-bed
i drew the splashes of swiftness of fins
my movements giggled over
riverbank and path
i am the river queen
crowned by forgotten ferns
and on my feet i wear
green growth of Life New
and Unseen

Philip, on the day the photo was taken, there where such magic in the air ... yes, the atmosphere was very playful ... I picked up some dried ferns and the River Queen was crowned LOL ...
Jubilee Creek is a picturesque and historical place (in the beginning of the previous century, well-known for its alluvial gold) within the woodlands of Knysna, South Africa, and my poems, The Released Sun; Woman in the Woods; Woman with Roses; and Innocence, were all written on Jubilee Creek.
Thank you for reading, Poet. ;) -

This came across as very peaceful to me.
The third stanza 'i sketched the whistles of invisibles birds..' is oh so magical and even playful...movement giggling over rivers and paths...
How very original and inspired...
