River , oh River!

Missing image
River oh River

your song breathes
soft shadowy syllables
the murmerings of trees
upon the clear skin of water
songs of ancient young souls:
curving clay, moulding dreams
turning it to stones

Water oh Water

whose tears are drifting
on the smell of curling leaves?
whose eyes are becoming
shaded suns
kissing the mourning ferns?

River oh River

journey me in silence
towards your purified heart
i'm resting my feet
upon Time's Embossment
with earth's healing message
vaccinated into my veins

Your eyes see the world through such strange and wondrous eyes sometimes it makes me want to explode into the mirror image of every little fragment in your imagination, just for a quick Charleston.

    this is marvelous:

    i'm resting my feet
    upon Time's Embossment
    with earth's healing message
    vaccinated into my veins

Assonance all over!!! Even a bit of alliteration...but wow, sneaking sounds in every phrase...clever poet!!!
That last stanza really places me into peace...

I wish to visit this River, oh River again- and i do every time I close my eyes...
