A Blessing From God

Missing image
We are like two threads ,
woven in God's tapestry,
together we are strong,
my son for all eternity.

God brought us together,
to strengthen and rejoice,
in the Bible's holy words,
heard in your sweet voice.

For no distance nor miles,
can weaken God's love,
that He filled my heart with,
as He reached from above.

As you spoke of dear Jesus,
my passion began to return
how I felt His amazing grace,
again His love I did yearn.

God moves in mysterious ways,
We are a part of His great plan
We were predestined to meet,
God gave us a helping hand.

You call me mom and I smile,
for you feel like a son to me,
I opened up my heart to you,
my son you made it  so easy.

I never question God's reason,
accepting you from the start,
you were on fire for Jesus,
you put God back in my heart.

This poem does not begin ,
to express the love I feel inside
and each time you call me mom
my heart overflows with pride.

The day you fulfill your calling,
I will be so very proud to say,
there is my son the Preacher,
that will be such a glorious day.

Author notes

This was written for Charles, (Onfire4Jesus) a young man who I am proud to call son and he calls me mom. He is a loving, caring, funny, sweet, young man who's heart is on fire for Jesus, as is mine since we met. He has brought so much joy through Jesus Christ and has been just as thoughtful and loving as any son could be.God has blessed both of us so we may learn and grow together in our love for Jesus. Thank you God for blessing me. Love you,

Thank you sweet Annie. Charles is my pride and joy on here. He is an amazing young Christian who has the calling to be a preacher. He not only serves God but serves in the U.S.Navy. (Submariner) He is leaving for Hawii in about a month for 6 years. He is coming to stay with my family and meet them this weekend. God has blessed me with this visit. God bless you Annie. Love, Sandy

Thank you Nikki for leaving such a wonderful comment on dear Charles poem. He is truly an inspiration and speaks of God's love so beautifully. and so many have fallen in love with him for his devotion to Christ and his compassion to reach out to those in need. He inspired me through his love and kindness to be passionate again about the Lord. My heart is full of love for him as me son. God has sent me another son to love, and I love him dearly just as though I gave birth to him. It is a feeling God has blessed me with and are lives will be interwined forever. It is so amazing how God works. Thank you for the beautiful comment. God Bless you. Take care, Sandy

    wonderful

I am still new here at AP but Charles was one of the first friends in Christ I met. His work is truly inspired and I am so thrilled to see that he has a calling on his life. God bless you for the love you have shown him. God is so good. All He wants to do is bless us and bless us some more. Wonderful tribute to Charles but even more wonderful testimony of our God's love for us.

What a wonderful tribute to your friendship and the impact that Jesus can have in our lives, if we let him! It is so nice to see young people on fire for Jesus and I wish your friend the best as he pursues his calling! He is lucky to have a friend like you to encourage him!

In reading this, I'm reminded of the poem I read a few days ago by you. It was the one that was written for your own son in sort of a night-time prayer.

Such writing as you have here really is something that could be up to illustrations and read to a child with its comforting words and soft imagery. It's such a talent to be able to pull such words together so clearly. I can only imagine you words put to illustrations and what a tool for teaching they may be.

    Brilliantly ascribed

What a magnificent tribute to Charles, Sandy. It says in the Word that God puts the lonely into families, and you and Charles are a testimony of that fact. Beautifully ascribed, take care, Heather

Hey Sandy!! What can I say. You've put me in AWE struck again.

Sandy Gram, How happy I am
to call you my dear mom
In my heart all the day
    I sing a beautiful song

    Of the blessed friendship
    that you and I share
    Together and forever and
always I know you will care

    The blessing of friends that
    God grants us each day
    Brings peace in our hearts
and joy through the words they say

So as I tell you this it
    comes straight from my heart
That my joy has been overflowing
and I know we will never drift apart

    We will sing wonderful songs
    together up in the air
    Surrounded by the holy angels
as we live forever up there

    Glory Hallelujah is what
    we will be singing
    As the angel's choir rejoices
    and our voices are ringing

    A soft sweet melodic tune
that Jesus is in this place
And we will share in the gloriousness
    and magnificence of God's grace

I love you mom mother and
there will never be no one like you
And I thank you for always being there
and surrounding me in your prayers too

Thank You for this wonderful poem you wrote for me Sandy!! It has been a joy being there for you and encouraging you and singing for you!! I will forever and always be here for you!! Never worry and never be in a fret, because Jesus is always at your side!!! Keep looking up to Jesus, He will carry you through!! I love you my wonderful friend today, tomorrow, now, and forever more!! God Bless You!!

Always great to see such encouragement for one who is agreeing to go into the Lion's den for his Lord. Those who are in the ministry have firey trial few others can imagine. That is evidenced by the fact that within 10 years on 20 percent of those who begin the ministry remain. Well versed and a fitting tribute.
