Mommys

Lullabies and fairy tales to help you off to sleep
Secrets from the angel are what your dreams will keep
Kisses in the morning to send you off to school
But beware your friends don't see that wouldn't be cool
Bandage up a boo boo on a skinned up elbow or knee
Warning you please baby not so high in the tree
Telling you to pick up your toys even tho you get mad
And showing you discipline when you acted bad
Those are all parts of every loving Mommy's day
And even if you don't think so she loves you in every way
Some Mommy's go off to work some get to stay at home
Some Mommy's have dads to help others do it on their own
Being a mommy is a job and some think we don't get paid
But all the smiles hugs and kisses are how payment is made
Mom mys hold you in your arms and comfort all your tears
We also help you down the road to conquer any fears
Showing you the difference between what's wrong and right
Pretending not to worry when you come home late at night
Crying tears of joy on your high school graduation day
Then crying some more when you Finlay decide to move away
These are all parts of every loving mothers day
And even if you think it doesn't show she loves you in every way
Bring a mother is a job and tho some think we don't get paid
But smiles hugs and kisses are how the payment is made...

this is so true, it can be very hard and at times you wish you could give up (im a single parent, and for 3yrs ive done it on my own) but then he smiles, and you remember why you do it to begin with, all the problems, stress, finances, hardness of life is no comparison to the smile, hugs, kisses, and laughter of your child. well done

I couldn't agree with you more.I would have no life if not for my son.He is my angel and the reason I get up every day.Children are a gift and I treasure him.
